I can hear it just fine, my husband can't but I always have to tell him to turn everything down including his mp3 player when I can hear what he is listening too with his ear buds on. Just goes to show you that it's not an age issue it's the punishment your ears have been through throughout your life.

Now as a ringtone... it could be funny to watch who reacts to the cell ringing, but quite frankly it wouldn't make me want to answer the call, but run away.... oh wait, I will use it on my Mother-in-laws calls! lol

The age thing is a myth. I'm 34 and can hear it just fine. Haven't tried it on a dog yet, but don't have any reason to.
