I was watching Eat Bulaga last friday (March 6, 2009) when Bossing Vic announced that Francis Magalona passed away.. I was shocked during that time!
I was hoping that he would surpass all his medical consequences since he showed the nation how brave he was and how he was a real positive thinker.
Despite of his case, he was able to SMILE and was able to live everyday of his life being productive and a fighter.. but our dear BRO has a better plan for Francis M, at least he died a well lived life..
I was interested to visit him at his wake at Christ the King, Green Meadows last saturday until I realized that we always go for mass at that church on Sundays. And so we did.. We first attended the mass, together with my sibling and my dad. After which we pass by his wake (Fortunately enough there was no line at that moment).. It was quite weird seeing him lying down on that casket.. Who would believe he would die after all his battles (he was so thin because of what happened.. and for all i know, he was the only person i saw that had a smile even after his death) and as i see his SMILE i said to myself "that baby face (cool dad, master rapper) is now with his master and will rest forever"
Good bye Francis, my crush, my idol.. You've done a great Job being a nationalistic/patriotic individual and you gave us a great memory in the filipino music industry.. THANK YOU!!
