About
"Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use."

About the copyright madness - in my opinion copyright claims suck hard:
(keep reading if you want to know why...)

You can't do this and can't work with that 'cause somebody has a copyright on it.
I know that you, the copyright holders, mostly have paid something for that right and now dont want to share it with the world for free, but people please don't use your right in every little situation when it isn't even necessary!!

As example, when im uploadin a track/"ringtone" which is proteceted by copyrights (keep in mind - nowadays nearly every song is protected by copyright!!), i don't upload the WHOLE song, it's a 29 second "demo" (here they call it "ringtone") and will probably rather help you to sell more full versions of it than it's "destroying" your business!
I see it more like we, who sometimes maybe accidently upload copyrighted stuff, rather work FOR and not against you! - Also many, well known companies like Sony and UMG saw that side of the copyright-claim-situation too and now - after they have banned many videos over the years cause of it - mostly allowing people on YouTube to use their - copyrighted - stuff! (some commercial stuff will pop up at the beginning of your video but your video will stay online!)

I dont understand your point, copyright holders!
Are you serious businessmen or just some random guys who stick on their right everytime they can!?

I dont think your way will help you protecting your stuff on the internet and you failed again to see the chances the net can give you guys to provide ur stuff (you kinda work against you self with all that hard copyright claims)!

Just think about it...

P.S.

It's new to me that remixes, blends or partybreaks, uploaded under the aspect of promotional/fair use, are "illegal" or something. I'm on many sites and no matter where i uploaded them (and mostly i upload the full mixes there - not like here, just 29 seconds!), nobody ever told me that i can't upload them cause of a copyrighted instrumental or acapella thats in there.

Even on YouTube, a site who really cares about copyright and law, i never had problems with copyrights or getting reported cause of them.
Only on THIS site, i just wonder why.
