You gain strength, experience and confidence by every experience where you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing you cannot do. You've got to take the initiative and play your game. In a decisive set, confidence is the difference.
It was a busy morning, approximately 8:30 am, when an elderly gentleman in his 80’s, arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He stated that he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am. I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would be able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound.
It was well healed so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound. While taking care of his wound, we began to engage in conversation. I asked him if he had a doctor’s appointment this morning, as he was in such hurry. The gentleman told me no and that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife. I then inquired as to her health. He told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer Disease. As we talked and I finished dressing his wound, I asked if she would be worried if he was a bit late.
He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now. I was surprised and asked him, “And you still go every morning, even though she doesn’t know who you are?” He smiled as he patted my hand and said, “She doesn’t know me but I still know who she is.” I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm and thought, “That this is the kind of love I want in my life.”
True love is neither physical nor romantic. True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be and will not be. The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything that comes along their way. Peace is seeing a sunset and knowing who to thank.

If you really desire to be a success in any area, a positive attitude is one of the main keys to keep you moving in the right direction. Do not let anyone choose how you should see the world or how you live each day.
You see, in life, lots of people know what to do but few people actually do what they know. Knowing is not enough. You must take action.
Action is a great restorer and builder of confidence. Inaction is not only the result but the cause of fear. Perhaps the action you take will be successful, perhaps different action or adjustments will have to follow. But any action is better than no action at all.
Let's be the sculptor of our lives, And decide who we want to be. Then create goals to put into action, So we can be the sailor of our sea.
When the waves of our sea soar high, And we aren't sure what to do. It is then that we understand so, That sometimes curves in life are thrown.
It is how we handle the waves, That will sculpt the future at hand. We can sit back and be shown the way, Or take charge and give the command.
So how will you handle a change, When your ship is thrown off course. You can make as many plans as you want, But even they may not be a helpful source.
So sculpt away your life, But never forget about the challenges of live's curves. As long as you can handle what's thrown, You'll achieve your goals and get all that you deserve.
If we don't have self-love, we are missing the biggest component of a healthy body. Self-love is its concrete foundation.
The love relationships we give birth to in our dreams lead us to higher ground. They push us to find out who we are and what we are made of, to awaken to our power, if we choose to do so.
If you're single or married, young or old you deserve to have love in your life. If you haven't found the love you're looking for yet, don't panic. Keep putting love into the world and I promise it will come back to you.
True love is eternal, infinite and always like itself. It is equal and pure, without violent demonstrations. It is seen with white hairs and is always young in the heart.
Wind is to fire like distance is to love, it extinguishes the small and enflames the great.
The most wonderful of all things in life, I believe, is the discovery of another human being with whom one’s relationship has a glowing depth, beauty and joy as the years increase. This inner progressiveness of love between two human beings is a most marvellous thing, it cannot be found by looking for it or by passionately wishing for it. It is a sort of Divine accident.

Today life gave you another slap but don't give up.
Throwing your towel in the ring for things gone wrong, for words that sting because there must be another way.
You will see it in the light of another day when everything seems sour and not in your favour.
Look around until you find better flavour, so, don't just give but live it up.
Pick up the pieces, be tough, grind your teeth and turn another cheek.
Don't give up, that's exactly what they seek.
It's too easy to walk away, quitter never wins so you should better stay.
Look challenges straight in the eye and don't say yet the last goodbye.
Fight like an animal in a trap, but don't give up.
