Nice!!! I have never been to Halkidiki, but i know that it has beautiful beatches...! Thesalonniki is great, have you visited the church that was built centuries ago? If i remember correctly, it is a huge church, used by many people. Someday they the floor broke and a part of the wall collapsed, so an underground place, swallow-holes, used as refuge in the past came to light! No-one knew that under the church was that refuge, and now all the tourists go there to see that... I hope you understood what i am talking about... You may have been there!
Besides that, in Thessaloniki they make great "souvlaki gyros", you know the meat with the sos called "tzatziki"...Don't forgwt to try " Bougatsa", the cream-filled pastry....
