04.01.07, 19:21I just use the Rumpkin Uploader for my ringtones.
http://rumkin.com/tools/sprint/index.php . As long as you have a mobile browser plan on your phone it shouldn't cost you anything. Just upload your edited mp3 and the site will give you a jump code to access it. It's really straight forward.
Myxertones is pretty good too.
11.07.05, 15:29Ignore the actual site once you have the plugin installed in your browser.
Once the plugin is installed its super easy to use. Just right click on any image in your browser and choose "Save Picture To Mobile Phone". This will launch the pix2fone app. The first time you run it, it will ask you what phone you have and your provider, then they will send you a confirmation message to verify you requested it(SPAM prevention). After you get the confirmation message, you will be able to resize the image in the application to fit your screen. Once this is done you enter your confirmation code and pix2fone will stick the image on their WAP server and send you a link via text message to get the image. Then go to the WAP site (from the text message) and choose save image...here's why pix2fone works...the image will then be saved to your "Screen Savers" folder which will allow you to use the image! It works great, I've got 10 images on my phone so far using it. Let me know if you have any other questions.
17.12.04, 22:06I was looking at bitpim, but they didn't list the LG5400 in the phones supported so I wasn't sure about it...I'd hate to toast my phone after only having it for less than a month!
Plus the fact that LG put out 2 versions of the 5400 isn't helping me to find info either...d****t...

16.12.04, 22:56Well, it looks like the cables are a special order, and cost on them is $25 - $20 CDN so you can expect to pay about $50 for them at the bell stores...

I'm not sure if that comes with the software or not, but I'll let you know when I get mine! If not, does anyone know where I can get the software for the LG5400?? Preferably freeware, or inexpensive
On another note, has anyone been able to get ringtones DL'd for this phone?? I tried grabbing a midi file I uploaded but it worked about as well as the wallpapers did

...Any thoughts?
15.12.04, 19:28I have a buddy that works for Bell, so I'm going to see if he has any info. If not, I'm going to pick up one of the cables. You can order them domesticaly for around $50 with the software, but I found some on ebay from China that I might take a chance on. If it works great, if it doesn't, well, I guess I'm out 15 bucks...
:EDIT:
This is the 5400 that we are having "issues" with...

I'm in the great white north and same thing, no cables. The box says its available from your service provider but they don't have them yet...guess I'm just going to have to be patient and wait for them........
Have I waited long enough yet?

09.12.04, 21:52At least I'm not the only one with this problem...does ANYONE know where these wallpapers are being saved on my phone!!
