Notifications of newly added content?

I remember before I could select an option to receive a notification of a newly uploaded item based on a keyword i.e. When searching for Metallica wallpapers I could select an option to be notified when someone uploads a Metallica wallpaper.
Since the changes to the site this option seems to no longer be availible.
Has this feature been disabled or is there an alternate way to go about this?
