i lost loads of weight too-dunno in pounds but went from 7 1/2 stone to 5 stone at my worst,did everything to put weight on-ate 5 mars bars a day-saw a dietician who told me to eat loads of spuds,butter, cheese and she put me on a high calorie milk shake called skan di shake-had 600 calories in it but nothing worked till i had the surgery. they tried me on loads of tabs,prednisolone,aziothioprine,pentasa,plus different vitamins. was on 4 diff pain killers at same time,paracetamol,voltarol,tramadol and lastly the only one that worked for the pain,morphine. but i only had that when in hospital.before that i d been sent home from work ,my brother came to visit me,took one look and took me to A and E,they kept me in for a week on fluids cos i was dehydrated from all the vomiting-couldnt even keep water down,one episode i remember before crohns was diagnosed(docs put me off sick indef with 'cause unknown'on my sick note) i d been up all night being sick and in pain,called doc out,bear in mind id kept nothing down in 24 hrs and i must have been dehydrated,all she did was give me a prescription for a tablet to stop the sickness,it didnt even bloody work! any how,i have a nice 4 inch scar down my belly!! how about you? and why did your surgery go wrong?

you d think in this day and age docs would get it right huh? ive heard of so many people who have crohn s and docs not diagnosing it right in the first place,odd how they thought you had lymphoma-thats cancer isnt it?? i suffered with it for a long time before i even went to the doc as i hate doctors surgerys and waiting rooms(esp if theres ,orrible kids there!) my mates used to tell me to go to accident and emergency when i d be up all night in pain and constantly vomiting but strange as it sounds i didnt want to be a bother! any how all is well at the moment! just have to be careful what i eat and not get too stressed about anything.

not very nice is it? i was mis diagnosed for nearly a year -docs kept saying i had I B S,finally was diagnosed by a consultant,lost a hell of alot of weight,constantly being sick and in a lot of pain.was in hospital twice,second time i had emergency surgery,had to have part of small bowel removed,luckily didnt have to have a colostomy, tho at the time i didnt care if i did have one.this was back in 2002 i think, any how all is well now tho i do know it could come back, not on any meds either . how about you?
