You gain strength, experience and confidence by every experience where you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing you cannot do. You've got to take the initiative and play your game. In a decisive set, confidence is the difference.
It was a busy morning, approximately 8:30 am, when an elderly gentleman in his 80’s, arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He stated that he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am. I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would be able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound.
It was well healed so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound. While taking care of his wound, we began to engage in conversation. I asked him if he had a doctor’s appointment this morning, as he was in such hurry. The gentleman told me no and that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife. I then inquired as to her health. He told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer Disease. As we talked and I finished dressing his wound, I asked if she would be worried if he was a bit late.
He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now. I was surprised and asked him, “And you still go every morning, even though she doesn’t know who you are?” He smiled as he patted my hand and said, “She doesn’t know me but I still know who she is.” I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm and thought, “That this is the kind of love I want in my life.”
True love is neither physical nor romantic. True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be and will not be. The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything that comes along their way. Peace is seeing a sunset and knowing who to thank.
MAY TRUE UNCONDITIONAL LOVE ALWAYS RUN FREE ON THE WIND.

You can choose to adopt a negative attitude towards almost every aspect of life or you can choose to make each day positive. If you really desire to be a success in any area, a positive attitude is one of the main keys to keep you moving in the right direction. Do not let anyone choose how you should see the world or how you live each day.
Let's be the sculptor of our lives, And decide who we want to be. Then create goals to put into action, So we can be the sailor of our sea.
When the waves of our sea soar high, And we aren't sure what to do. It is then that we understand so, That sometimes curves in life are thrown.
It is how we handle the waves, That will sculpt the future at hand. We can sit back and be shown the way, Or take charge and give the command.
So how will you handle a change, When your ship is thrown off course. You can make as many plans as you want, But even they may not be a helpful source.
So sculpt away your life, But never forget about the challenges of live's curves. As long as you can handle what's thrown, You'll achieve your goals and get all that you deserve.
We are human beings full of emotions and behaviours but we all have a choice to make our lives what we want. Our perceptions and reactions can be controlled, if we understand that there are hundreds of inputs everyday that call us to respond. How we respond is not dictated to us as if we are programmed to respond a certain way, we are not robots. Choose your reactions based on who you are and not on some extraneous event or someone else's needs.

There are 5 things you need to know, he told the pencil, before I send you out into the world. Always remember them and never forget and you will become the best pencil you can be.
One: You will be able to do many great things but only if you allow yourself to be held in someone's hand. Two: You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time but you'll need it to become a better pencil. Three: You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make. Four: The most important part of you will always be what's inside. And Five: On every surface you are used on, you must leave your mark. No matter what the condition, you must continue to write.
The pencil understood and promised to remember and went into the box with purpose in its heart.
Now change places with the pencil. Always remember them and never forget and you will become the best person you can be.
