Working as a professional musician since 1994 and doing back up singing for several renown Brazilian artists such as Tim Maia, Flavio Venturini, Alceu Valença, Cidade Negra, Ed Motta, Cidalia has her own solo career as a R&B/Soul/Black Music singer, writer and producer with singles released by major record labels. Responsible for the outstanding vocals in the Brazilian version of "Everybody's Free"(sunscreen initiative) released by Sony Music in 2003, Cidalia Castro recently performed in the Brazilian cast of Broadway Musical "The Phantom of the Opera", as Carlotta Giudicelli, and currently in the Brazilian cast of Musical "The Sound Of Music".
