All images uploaded to the wallpaper area will be converted to jpg. If you want to upload and use an animated gif for yourself then upload it to your private area and download it to your phone.

You need atleast the 5.99 T-MobileWeb service. Once upon a time there where "holes" in T-Mobiles network that allowed downloads if you had the free T-Zones (which almost all T-Mobile phones had). But since T-Mobile started closing these "holes" you need to upgrade your service.If you do have the 5.99 T-MobileWeb service call t-mobile and tel them it is not allowing you to download.. they should be able to correct it remotely.
