Hi, a few weeks ago i contacted you over problems i had in that after uploading videos to zedge the file size allocated was extremely small in comparison to the length and quality (always very good) of the videos causing the videos to be badly pixelated omce uploaded. You replied back some days later explaining that you were having problems with the videos and that it was now sorted. The same thing is still happening, the videos i'm uploading are still pixelated (but only after being uploaded to zedge) although the allocated file size given to them are now appropriate in terms of the length of the videos and in comparison to videos i've uploaded months ago. There's no calling into question the quality of the videos i'm uploading as they are of perfect quality just like previous videos i've uploaded months and months ago. Also occasionally i'm getting a message (from my web security program) that zedge is downloading code segments from (just one example) rockyou.com and this site has been reported as a phising site. What's that all about then, why would zedge be downloading segments from there ?
Nothing to do with it being converted into 3gp format. Each video i upload recently is of very high quality (just like all my other videos i've uploaded in the past weeks and months and these ones are perfect in viewing quality) it seems to be something to do with zedge after the videos have been uploaded, no matter how big a video it is or how long it runs for, it seems that during the 'processing' process it gets squashed down too much in size and ends up being of very small file size. For example a video that i uploaded months ago which runs for well over 4 minutes and is around 3500kb in size ( don't forget that's not the size of the file i'm uploading to zedge, it's the file size that zedges squashes it to after uploading, the actual file size of video before uploading is 20MB) looks perfect in viewing quality, yet if i uploaded it again this time it would be squashed down to around 1200kb and the video is then badly pixelated because of it. It's as if during the 'processing' process something is happening where it's squeezing too much into a tiny space and the viewing quality is affected because of it. Another example... this video i uploaded on Feb 21st 2009... http://www.zedge.net/videos/130135/dark-athena-video/ it has a file size of 1717kb and runs for 1minute and 15 seconds and is perfect quality viewing on phone. I've just uploaded the exact same video just now... http://www.zedge.net/videos/201411/dark-athena-video/ yet this has been allocated a file size of just 494kb and looks terrible on phone as it's badly pixelated just as do any videos i've uploaded lately but also any videos other zedgers have uploaded too, this has only been happening during the last 10 days or so. Why is this happening ??
I've noticed lately that any videos that are uploaded to zedge end up being of very small file size and therefore very bad viewing quality once downloaded to my phone (videos very pixelated) for example... i uploaded this video a day ago http://www.zedge.net/videos/200924/mini-ninjas-video/ which runs for 1 minute and 21 seconds yet after being uploaded is 462kb in size and a couple weeks ago i uploaded this video http://www.zedge.net/videos/193414/bajaland-rush-video/ which runs for 55 seconds yet is 1262 in size after uploading, this one looks absolutely fine on my phone yet the ninja one (with it's smaller file size despite running for a longer time) looks crap. All other zedgers videos appear to be the same, i've checked some that are running for over 4 minutes yet have incredibly small file sizes of between 300kb-600kb and look fine on zedge (but look badly pixelated once downloaded to my phone) yet videos i've previously uploaded that run for over 4 minutes have file sizes of between 4000kb-5000kb and look perfectly fine. Am i the only one that's having this problem of pixelated videos once downloaded to phone, maybe this is something zedge is doing purposely in that after videos have been uploaded you're/they're decreasing the file sizes of them for some reason ?
