I don't agree with the fact that they don't use the SIM-card in order to send stuff. (U need a internet connection to use the BB messenger. Well in Germany u do ) But that's another story..Blackberrys are next to the iPhone a real "flu" in Germany aswell. (I think in the US and parts of Europe also.)
Even kids and I mean kids have got Blackberrys over here. I don't think they NEED a Blackberry due to its a business phone in first line and not a toy. (IMO)
But every one should decide for him/herself either they need it or not.
What do u think about this?
