In my country the OFW's(Overseas Filipino Workers) are considered the modern real heroes....My country is considered to be third world and suffers from economic hardships and poverty...we have a well eduacted workforce but the government cannot provide enough jobs for all of us..as a result most college graduates will work as nurses, engineers, domestic helpers, doctors, teachers, seamen, entertainers and many other blue collar jobs in over 60 countries...as a result they sent back a staggering $14billion dollars in 2007 to their homeland pumping the foreign exchange of the philippines economy...the good news is that more and more countries want filipino workers because of their qualities (skilled, well educated, adaptable, hardworking, loyal and caring to others)...the big problem of this diaspora is the break of the families in which the Philippines is as well known for the family closeness and values that in time these values will be lost forever...also more and more filipinos as well suffer from discrimination, maltreatment and abuses in the countries they work in...i hope government of these countries and our government as well will help protect the modern heroes of the Philippines....
well...teenage pregnancy is a psychological and social problem and should be address inside each family...first of all if sex education is discussed much earlier in their homes by parents then i firmly believe that this can be prevented...media also has a big responsibilty over this moral problem...in this current modern world...children as young as 5 years are already exposed to sexual subjects in tv, internet, magazines and other media related mediums...parents should first educate their children before they are exposed to these things...
taxes are important sources of government money inorder to support its populace...it acually depends if a country is wealthy enough to support its citizens, without taxes then that's better...but with those country which needs taxes..it should be transparent and the people should always be aware of the benefits they have from these taxes...most of the government spending goes to the poorest of the soceity...but taxes also support the infrastructure, food, energy, maintenance, salary of government workers, military, education, health, to pay debt and a lot more to sustain the popualation's needs in the country...
as human beings and servants of god, we have been given a task to take care of all these wonderful creatures...i don't think there's a need to kill whales inorder to survive..japan is actually killing the whales not for survival but it was part of their culture...in this modern world we should act more intelligently and responsible for these terrible things that we have done in the past..we always ask ourselves that we are alone in this universe...we share this world to other creatures that truly deserve to live just like us, they evolved to survive!!! its a matter of time until we realize that we are truly alone...
actually you have to think for all..the past, the present and the future...because it will somehow give you ideas to think, rethink and do...for the past>>>you have to remember things inorder to prevent it from happening again or learning from it... for the present>>>you have to face the facts and deal with it..future>>hope and dream....
