What exactly will you be using them for? Why not both?
Tablets are good for web browsing, watching movies, reading ebooks, or reading/sending short emails. On the other hand a laptop is more useful for writing reports, creating presentations, converting videos, etc.
Try reading an ebook on a laptop while lying down in bed. It's just not as comfortable when using a tablet. Similarly, try typing a long book report or creating a really good powerpoint presentation on a tablet and i bet you'd be gnawing your fingers off from sheer frustration.
I've encountered this boot looping error on my Galaxy Tab. It's a firmware error where the OS refuses to load properly. In my case it happened because i was fooling around with custom roms and apps that try to access and change the basic functions of my tablet.
I had to flash the original manufacturer's rom to get it working again.
It might not be a problem with your wifi but with apps (particularly those with root access) or a custom rom (if you load custom roms).
Thanks! Unfortunately i already tried both adobe acrobat and indesign. I found them both clunky and it didnt give me the results i wanted. Any other alternatives?
Depends on your on your internet connection speed. Likewise you may take it to Samsung's Mobile Service Center and let certified technicians do the upgrade for you while you wait.
About resistive vs capacitive, well, that's a matter of perspective and preference. I've always found it easier to type on a capacitive screen on a phone with a big screen since it's much more responsive and faster (i.e. not needing to put pressure on the screen to register a keypress and the ability to register multiple keypresses at the same time). Typing on a small screen (below 3.5 inches) can be a bit of a chore.
Did any of you Galaxy Tab (v10.1, 8.9, 7.7, or 7.0 Plus) owners experience this where your tab simply refuses to boot upon start-up or it just get stuck on the intro logo/animation for no apparent reason?
Is there any way to fix this problem without doing a factory reset and wiping my data clean? I'm really trying to avoid this since i don't want to go through the pain of re-installing everything after a factory reset.
