Yes my screenshots were 240x320 large. I solved the problem, you just have to save as jpeg file and that's it,

Are your screenshots already 240x320 or whatever size is correct for the corresponding theme?
Since the limit on screenshots is 50kb try opening them up in paintshop or photoshop and simply save as a different name. For some reason that seems to reduce the file size. At least it worked for me.
