#I keep personal out of professional: Trisha
Today (May 4), Trisha celebrates her birthday. It’s been 10 years since Trisha appeared on screen and the south took to her like white takes to colour.
It’s truly been a spectacular journey dotted with hits, flops, controversies and the works. Any other actor in her place would have been yelling from the rooftop about her superstar status even after a decade in the industry. But Trisha prefers to play it cool. Her Telugu film Dhammu released last week is a winner and she’s got a few aces up her sleeve. No hyperboles about her upcoming ventures. In this exclusive chat toSridevi Sreedhar, Trisha opens up. Here’s wishing you a very happy birthday from Sify team? Thanks a ton and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the love, encouragement criticism and brickbats that you have showered on me (Laughs) . It has made me a better person. What are your birthday plans? I am in Koh Samui spending time with my friends. It is a short holiday, which was planned in the last minute and I have to get back on 7th for an endorsement shoot. You had said sometime back that you are fed up of doing glamour roles in mass commercial potboilers but Dhammu was yet another film in the same genre. Please comment? (Smiles) Dhammu is a typical mass minimum guarantee fun film and I always enjoyed working in such genre. Please don’t forget that it was these kind of films that made me what I am today. And if I am still there in such films, even after 10 years, I think it is an honour. I want to do good work and balance my roles in various genres. Do you see yourself a part of cinema all your life? I cannot answer this because tomorrow you’ll point fingers at me. Every year, I evolve. At the onset of my career I’d thought of giving myself 10 years in the industry. This is my 10th year and I’m still enjoying it. I’m not going anywhere. How do you deal with negativity? What keep you grounded? I keep personal out of professional. I don’t think you should confuse your professional equations with your personal ones. I go back home to people who are not involved with my work. My friends have nothing to do with my job. Okay, what’s your relationship status? I am not talking about it (wink) What is your birthday gift? I got myself a Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan , a white one. My mom has a surprise gift for me when I get back. What are your future films? I am currently shooting for Vishal’s Samar, a stylish action entertainer. Will be starting a romantic musical with Jiiva for director Ahmed this month. A Ravi Teja film and Jayam Ravi’s Boologam are on the anvil. So my hands are full for the year.
#Why Trisha won’t act in Bollywood films?
Trisha has said in an interview that she is not keen on acting in Bollywood films because the audiences’ tastes are very different there. The actress is one of the top stars in Tollywood as well as Kollywood but she has acted in just one Hindi film – Katta Meeta – till now.

#Trisha & Vishal team up for the first time
This comes after repeated failures from Vishal for his early movies like Satyam (in place of Nayanthara), Thoranai, Theeratha Vilayuttu Pillai and even for the current Vedi. On those occasions Trisha expressed her inability quoting the dates constraint. Now the actress said she is impressed by the script and her role in the film by Thiru. The movie will go to floors after Vishal completes his role in Lingusamy’s Vettai. A good beginning for Vishal’s association with Trisha.
#Trisha cautions fans
Trisha is very happy to be a part of Mankatha as she is a huge Ajith fan and loves working with him. She can’t stop raving about how brilliant he is and his many talents.
Ajith’s heroine had a word of caution for the fans though. She has requested them to watch the film with a completely open mind. Usually fans expect certain things in their favorite hero’s films and feel cheated if those elements have been left out. Trisha said that this is hard on the stars. The fans should just enjoy the ride and prepare to be surprised but in a pleasant way.

#Trisha’s Romantic letter to her lover
Trisha while speaking about romance said,” Romance is a beautiful experience. You have to personally experience it. There is always a saying that romance will change a person upside down. They will transform a lot. I have seen many people like that.
But I am a little sensible person. It is true that I am not able to fall in love so easily. Till now I am not able to love. So you might be thinking that how was it possible to write this letter. So in case if I fall in l love, I have written an imaginary love letter on the occasion of Valentine’s Day. Is it alright?
LETTER...
Haai Da, When I went to sleep last night, I had a dream. Simply super dream Da. There was a heavy mist. I was feeling that I have got trapped in that mist alone. I don’t know where I was. I was keeping on searching for you. Every body face I saw seems to be new to me. Then only I saw you.
Even in the dream you looked so handsome Da. With your favourite usual smile, you pulled my hand towards you. I was feeling like flying in the clouds because of your warm hook. I felt like the stars telling,” Happy love Trisha.” Suddenly I woke up. Then only I felt all these are a dream. There is no chance. You are my boy. I am bored up with shootings. Take me some where. Only you, I and the moon should be there. You know one thing man. You are in all places.
Your sweet voice is always in my ears. Your smile is everything for me. I will complete the shooting and come soon. We both can walk in the beach. Darlo, I love you so much.
Hugs and kisses…
