You should possibly rename yr post to something more in the direction of unblocking to get swifter responses

You may have some luck with the codes in the sticky at the top of the forum. However, if you're not willing to try them, as some of them can have an undesired effect on a phone, and that is likely to be the only unlocking information you'll find on the internet.
Alternatively, and my advise would be to pay a professional to do it. Much safer, and should be a guaranteed unlock.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Puddster, I am a bit weiry of trying the ones advertised on here and the net (incase they dont work/or mess up the phone) but my local unlock shop wants £15 I think thats a bit steep tbh.

Anyway, i will keep on my www search for a few days and see what i come up with. Thanks both for the help.

You won't find it for cheeper then £15. I worked as an unlocking specialist for two years, and we ran a "You beat it, we'll match it" service. I think I only had to do that once with a Nokia.
If you do get it done at your unlocking shop, make them insure it, a lot of places don't. Just demand insurance, if they're good at what they do, they won't mind taking the risk.

Good luck either way though.

I have managed to find one that temporarily unlocks the phone, but as soon as you turn the phone off or remove the battery, it doesnt work, and you have to re-enter the info.

Which obviously can get annoying after a while. If you never turn off you're phone, I guess it's not too bad. However, a professional will completely remove the locks, then you won't have to worry about it again.

Either way, it's your call!

Lol yeah, i would preferably like it to be unlocked permenantly that way when my daughter decides she wants a newer one, i can sell it on unlocked. I am in the middle of searching the www to find someone to unlock the handset that doesnt charge to much, or a shop which will do it for me where i live. Trouble is that they tend to charge about £15 which i think is a bit steep.

As I said earlier, in comparision, it's not too steep. But then, that's a matter of opinion of the value of the phone. I've not found many reliable sources on the internet, so I'm stumped for recommendations. Because I've been in the trade, I only know the suppliers, and they'll be no use, so I wish you luck...
