I thought 17 days was enough for a contest. Please give feedback and tell what you liked, what you didn't like, what you expect in a new contest, should there be a theme etc... If you think the time period was too short please tell me.

If there wud be a contest for themes too, there will be much more fun, .... As theme creating wud give the perfect knowldge of a zedger's creativity......
And abt this contest i found that less no. of zedgers have participated but far or more this contest was gr8.... and hope u will announce the winners soon.....

First of all about this contest, I am glad that zedge has started something new for the users, it is good to see people making own stuffs(exceptions were there that you have to take care, i.e copyrighted stuffs)
* Time duration was good enough, 2 - 3 weeks. But popularity was not there, most of the users didn't even know a contest is going on here, even if it was mentioned in forum. Highlight it in homepage or in special section.
* A theme making contest is good, make it with special topics each time when it is conducting and same in case of wallpapers contest too.
* Also there should be a special page for contest entries, that will be good for us too see those items and
* about the voting its good that admins choose the winners(that you are doing now) otherwise creative work will go off no use.
* Lastly whats the reward for the winners? it will be good if they get cool badges for that and revamp the present user badges, its an old one from many years.
Looking forward too see this contest interesting in coming months.

I like to say if you have themes for a contest many users cannot apply , Most people with HTC phones and I uploaded a wallpaper for the competition and it got black voted will that go bad for me when the wallpapers are getting judged ??

I agree that the contests are great, however it is not easily clear to members that you are actually having one. I only happened to notice the forum post by accident, or I would have never known. I would suggest adding something to the zedge "header" maybe add "CONTEST" to the "ZEDGE" logo up there in some bright color, and also adding a large notice on the front sign in page. I apologize for the use of caps there.

I would also like to add that the whole group of site guards should not be allowed to critique and flag contest entries. I cannot stand the site guard system personally, however if you insist on using this method, perhaps you'd consider only letting executive site guards review contest entries for flagging(since you have specific rules for contests that differ from the average uploads).
