Nokia which is considered to be the one of the top Mobile Phone companies in the World which started with a big phone which weighed more than 10 kilos and that too before 25years. Here is some details and pics of it. Just remember it , i am posting this.

The Nokia Mobira Senator
Founded on : 1982
It just rocked the markets during its release. To look at the Mobira Senator didn?t resemble what would be considered a mobile phone. The Mobira was heavy mainly due to the battery technology at the time (22 lbs or 10 kilograms)
As of 2011 these phones are highly collectable as most were put in landfill more than 25 years ago. These pioneering mobile phones used a network that was the standard at the time called the Nordic Mobile Telephony (NMT) Standard.

Some Specs:
Network: NMT-450 1G (VHF Band)
Introduced: 1982
Screen: Monochrome
Form: Box Type

Great post! Nokia developed a digital switcher for telephone exchanges and also helped develop the world's first mobile phone network. By the late 1980's Nokia had helped develop the GSM and had built more than 60 GSM networks in 31 countries around the world. The company developed high quality, user friendly mobile phones that have made it the world market leader. I have used a Nokia since my first mobile phone was one of those.
