Excuse my ignorance on this matter, but do Blackberry make phones? I thought they only worked on software, specialising in e-mails. It's not too big here though.

As for unlocking it, I don't think it'll be easy, and expect it'll require cables and specialised kit.

Feel free to correct me if anyone knows better!

Turns out I was wrong, blackberry do make phones too. I'll ask around and see if I can find out the system unlocking specifics. I still think it'll be a specialist job though, but I'll find out if I can.

My guys in the know got back to me, and the only way isn't nice. The kit costs $179.99, so not cheap. If you were on Vodafone, there's code gen's out there for £9 (per code)...
