Hi could someone help me out here, I recently purchased a USB cable and phone software disc for the e365 however whenever I start up the mobile phone tools application it says no modem detected. As far as I know I need to get a hold of a e365 modem driver, I would really appreciate it if someone could give me a link to it or e-mail me one, many thanks for your help.

Look in your folder and see if there is a motorola handset driver (a blue box.exe file)
plug in the cable and goto device manager and query your moto modem.. if it is there update it .but locate the driver from you programs folder and not windows.

if the program is mobile phone tools then load program, do a live update and then oncw done reload program and select F6/Communication/Change Modem... remember to locate the driver yourself by ticking the box or it still won't find it.

Ok firstly goto your device manager with your cable plugged in and uninstall all motorola drivers if any there.

now uninstall mPT (do you have a disc or the program on PC..if so what version?)
reboot pc
unplug the cable from PC <<< this is important.. before reinstalling mPT.

let me know how you get on to this point....

Hi Greenleaf, Ok I've uninstalled everything to do with the phone, software, modem drivers, the lot. I was using MPT version 2.16. What do I do now ?

If it's any use I'm using AOL broadbnad platinum and I also have a HSP56 modem installed on the computer.

Thanks

If you are using version 2.16 then it is most likely to be the problem as that is an update to 1.23 and you haven't installed it first.... i'll send you an email with details.

you need version 3.11 which will work better and also update to 3.25

Any ideas ?

Update the driver in your device manager and see if it locates from mPT folder in your C drive.
try selecting F6 communications/change modem then tick the red box to locate your phone yourself... this should install the motorola USB driver..
mulimedia section uses quite a load of CPU so try make sure you've cleaned your memory..
also make sure your media in the phone has simple names/titles with no special characters.

mainly, if the program has to close... the chances are that there is a interuption of the driver the programs need... this may meen uninstalling the drivers and re-installing them... i can send you a tool to try if you with.
