Welcome to the Topic "Tutorial for Flash Clock Themes"

I always use SwishMax to make flash clocks...

You can visit My Profile to check various types of flash clock themes as example.

Let me clear you something---If you want to make good flash clocks as well as themes then you need
SWISHMAX
ADOBE PHOTOSHOP 3 or 4
A Converter that converts any SWF to JPEG
A Theme maker (I prefer goggagmobile)

I will not discuss how to get these software's as wall as Swishmax. If you face any problem regarding this contact me.

Assuming that you have installed the software Swishmax let's start the procedure --

Open Swishmax. Click Start a New Empty Movie.
A blank movie will be opened. You need some change here. Change the Movie Size to 240*320 (Assuming that your phone's resolution is 240*320).

There will be a blank Scene by default. Every flash should be made inside a Scene.

Screenshot HERE

If there exists no scene then you have to insert a blank Scene using Insert button. (Left side of the screen in Outline panel).
The View size of the movie will be 100%. Finally the required settings are complete.

Screenshot HERE

Now you have to insert a wallpaper of 240*320 resolutions (must). You can put wallpaper anytime you want. (Use Insert then Image option). Try to make blank flash clock (without wallpaper) first for your practice.
Now you have to insert a blank Sprite. (Use Insert then Sprite option)
Change the name of that Sprite to clock.
You have to insert a Text field under this Sprite (clock sprite must be selected). (Use Insert then Text option)
Change the name of that text to Myclock.
Selecting that text field you have to write 12:59:59 in the Text area. You can change colour/font/size/style of the text here. Remember that this text is your flash clock's text.
You can resize the text field using white box and use the green pointer to enlarge the area.
Text of your clock is now complete. Select the clock sprite in outline panel then click Script.
Change the mode of the Script from Guided to Expert. The code for this flash clock will be written here.
Now paste the code given below --->
onEnterFrame() {
now = new Date();
hour = now.getHours();
minutes = now.getMinutes();
seconds = now.getSeconds();
if (minutes < 10) {
minutes = "0" add minutes;
}
if (seconds < 10) {
seconds = "0" add seconds;
}
Myclock.text = hour add ":" add minutes add ":" add seconds ;
}

Don't make any change. Copy the exact code. You are almost done.
Now you have to test the flash. Click Play button to test your flash.

You can change the position or size of the clock text according to your choice. Please play the flash every time after you make any change.
If your flash clock is ready to use then you have to Export it in order to use it. (Go to File then Export then SWF). The format of the exported flash must be SWF.
Now your flash is ready to use.

It will be better if you choose goggagmobile for theme making because it supports SWF files.

Now everyone faces a problem of not getting the screenshot of idle screen in the theme maker when swf file is used as idle wallpaper.

My Suggestions---

Make your theme using SWF file.
Download it first.
Then use a SWF to JPEG Converter to convert the flash to a jpeg file.
Use that jpeg file as idle screen wallpaper.
Take your screenshots.

I think this much information is enough. Make your own flash themes. Please show it to me first. Make sure that your theme gets the first comment from me . I always like creative people.
Any further problems then contact me.
