u have to copy them in ring tone folder or something like that, then choose that tone.

I found this on the Sprint forum since you have a sprint renegade

With any .mp3 ringtone simply change the extension from .mp3 to .qcp and put them on your SD card either via Moto Phone Tools v5.10A with the updates or via transferring them onto your card via a computer that has an SD card reader attached.

The ringtones will show up under MY SOUNDS and you can use a ringtone off the SD card as long as they have that .qcp extension.
