Can someone please help, i can download tones and wallpaper from the phone n my pc, but i can't download and install themes? Is there a fix for this on the new nokia E71x phones? When i download from my phone.. it goes through, but once i try to install the application, it comes up with an error "unable to install".

sum of the newer s60 os are kinda factory locked and can only install softwares with security certificates verification....so pls find software and themes with such certification.....

When I try to install an application (E. g. theme, game, VPN client) to my Nokia device I get an error message: "Installation security Error. Unable to install" or "Certificate may yet not be valid, is expired or phone's day settings may be incorrect"

If you get such an error message, please set the device date to before 12.6.2007 (or for some applications maybe even earlier), and then this error doesn't appear and installation continues normally. After installation you may set date back to current date.

If this does not help then
TOOLS>APP MGR>OPTIONS>SETTINGS>SOFTWARE INSTALLATION and changed it from SIGNED ONLY to ALL.

yeah just do this and all application can now be install

TOOLS>APP MGR>OPTIONS>SETTINGS>SOFTWARE INSTALLATION and changed it from SIGNED ONLY to ALL.

needd help
i just intaled an app called "babe"....though i can see the image how it is on the example . how can i see the clock on the upper left corner of the phone like i see it in the all the apps..

Were can i go to do this setting ? oh yes my model is NOKIA E71x AT& T

i appreciate

i also hd this problem w/ a diff theme....go to app mgr and change the setting for "Check Cert. validity" to OFF instead of ON. I did this and it worked for me,
