Hi,
My Nokia 6233 is recently behaving strangely.
Contents of some of my self created game folders are getting completely wiped out all of a sudden. The folder becomes completely empty. Though the overall memory card size remains unaltered.

The memory is fine. I have checked it with various softwares.

Is formatting the card the solution ? In that case, how can I export contacts from Microsoft Outlook to the newly formatted Phone Memory card ? May be through PC Suite!!

Hi Rudra,

First format the card on the PC & then use it on your phone.

And, I'm not sure about how to export Outlook contacts to the MMC............... Sorry!!!

Thanks nehaladsul for your prompt reply.
One question, why did you suggest to format the memory card from PC ? If I format the memory card from the phone menu itself, will there be a problem?
If I format the card from PC, file system will be FAT, isn't it ?
The contacts in the memory card, will I be able to restore them from a Nokia PC suite backup or from Microsoft Outlook ?
Can anyone suggest a way to restore contacts (which were on memory card) to the formatted memory card ?

I suggested a PC format as opposed to a Onboard format as a PC format is much cleaner..................

You can use Nokia PC Suite to backup all the Contacts, settings, data etc on your phone & once the format is done, you can proceed to restore all the data back to the card.............

I'm however doubtful that backing up faulty settings from the MMC & then reinstating them on a clean formatted MMC would be of any help to you...............

It's like taking a clean bath & then jumping back in the gutter................!!!

Use the backup settings only if you are sure that the same problem wont reappear in the future...........

All the best.............

Thanks. Got your point.
But can you tell me how to extract only Contacts info from backup? So that I can later restore contacts to the formatted memory card.
Or is there any other way to backup and restore only the Contacts from memory card ?
