Yeah, that is true. My handsfree disconnected the first day i used it. But has never happened again. It's kinda loose yes.

I've never had a problem with the SE connector or its charger, and AFAIK there are no QA issues regarding them.

As for the signal strength meter, i'd expect its more likely that the phone does that because there is less 3G coverage than a normal GSM signal.

3G always tends to be less covered and less reliable.

I run 2g only so... not that

I only switch 3g on when I'm going to wap on a heavy site or to have a video conversation.

Well, i could be wrong (im no expert when it comes to 3G), but from my understanding even if you use 2G on a 3G phone, it still uses 3G UMTS unless there is no coverage, and then it switches to a 2G network.

Especially if you're using a 3G sim card, to make 2G calls.

With Z800i u can choose "3g and GMS" or "GSM only" in the settings. That is the best thing with this 3g phone.

I use GSM only with a 3g card and it works perfect.

is there anything i can do to change the message alerts?
