Have search all over the web but cant find an answer so i think that maybe someone will help me here.
So, my prob. is that i have a Motorola V600 (Mercedez Benz edition if that matters) and USB CAble, so far everything is OK but when i insert the cable into the PC and the Phone Windows recognized it as V300 not V600 im using windows xp service pack 2, but have the same thing on win98, and winxp sp1 every windows version detect my v600 as v300 even mobile phone tools (3.23) detect it as v300, in a pc at my school with win98 i run mobile phone tools and it goes ok except of that V300 skin but no probleems at all i even upload an mp3 to my phone problem is that day in the afternoon in my home in installed mobile phone tools but the program initialize my phone only sometimes and when it does after a while my phone gets disconnected and i dont now what to do.
So in resume

Why did my V600 is detected as v300?
Why did MPT work on my school and not in my house?

NOTE: My PC has WINXP IN Spanish and MPT i have it in english, could that be the problem? Dont think so.

Ok this could be a few reasons so you will have to work it out on your own (but with ZEDGE help)

is the phone a used phone... what i mean by used is, have you bought it second hand off a friend or auction site... if so it is possible that the phone has been modified with tools from a previous owner and they forgot to give the phone an ID.
If the phone is a NEW phone from a CREDITABLE supplier, then it is the program at fault and we need to change the driver for your phone's 'skin' to let mPT know what phone you have.
