I have a motorola V500, is there a key lock facility or a way of stopping the keys on the side from operating while the phone is closed

I find that the ring effects changes when the button is nocked whilst in my pocket etc, usually on to silent

No i don't think.But i don't own a v500.Better wait for a sure answer from a v500 owner.

Im afraid you cant do anything about the side keys. It's one of the flaws of this model. Irritating, isn't it?

You could try going to menu> security> lock app> (1234 ok)> ring styles .... select lock

now it will only happen once until the code is entered (1234 default)
