How Can I tell a Copyrighted image or a Zedge policy "infringer"

Hello, I am relatively new to zedge but enjoy creating and uploading wallpapers.....problem, all of my latest wallpapers have been removed and even after reading the terms of service portion, I still don't understand why some of them have come off. I can guess that they were copyrighted but my question is...how can you tell what is copyrighted and what is not? It seems to be a random thing...some are some arent but who knows?? There has to be a way that the zedge admins know what is and what isn't so is there a way to help us average user know? Also, I don't get the part that says you need writen consent from the people in your pic- so you are telling me that every single person who uploads an image with a person in it has "consent" from that person...I dont think so??? The rules are there zedge but they don't help us out cause if I interpret the rules, there's a whole lot of infrigement going on...please someone help me figure out how I can know for 100% each time that my upload is legite. i tell u how Copyrighted images are judge by Zedge team.

It is very simple if Zedge finds that the image loading DATE of ur image is a recent date that means that u have copied the images for somewhere if and only if the other person have already uploaded such image with OLD image upload date.

Sorry guys...this still really doesnt help me. Sea Guard thanks for the link but I have read those rules a thousand times and that still doesnt tell me what is or is not a copyrighted image. As for the loading date thing...then anyone could just download images, wait a few weeks and upload to zedge..that still does not idicate weither or not it is copyrighted. Also, I have uploaded several images on the same day that all came from the same place and some were deleted and some were not....it just doesnt make any sense. The bottom line here is that I want to be a good citizen and follow the rules but when it is this confusing just to have some fun and be creative, it kind of put a person off of wanting to continue......I am still in the pursuit of a proper answer.

OK..so now I get a reply from a zedge admin with the definition of copyright......Zedge, let me explain something, I know what copyright righting is...what I need to know is how can I determine if an image IS copyrighted? ...and again today another one of my wallpapers goes missing...has been up for several days...uploaded several times and no different than any of my other images...and poof...its gone...WHAT UP??? I give up zedge...how do you expect anyone to get excited about uploading if all the time and effort is going to just get erased. I just dont get it...that wallpaper that was erased today is no different than any of my others so why don't you just erase all of my images??? Really frustrated here and sick of getting links to definitions and policies...please someone make this clear for me and respond with real answers not auotmated links to this and that...or I give up!

Halo LifeDancer ,,,,, basically its our SiteGuards duty to provide a clean environment in this zedge website ,,,i know some uploads has been removed due to unkown reasons but we r still trying to make much more clear in the reasons for deleting uploads ,,in the sense don't think i have deleted ure uploads infact there are too many siteguards,,,but i don't like people when they disrespect siteguards,,like some siteguards make mistakes and the blame goes to all SiteGuards ,which is not Fair,,,,,,.,...i know it been a boon to all zedgers who can get alot of items to downloads and lots thanx to u guys who has made successful to this website by uploading ure favourite stuffs,,,,but can't help it ,,,,,however tell me the name of ure item??in which section??......

Thanks for the reply portraits182.....the one wallpaper that went missing today was the one entitled "I kissed a girl". It was up for several days and then all of the sudden was taken away?? If you could look into that, it'd be great. Thanks so much. Take Care.

Copyrighted wallies r also the one that u download from another website, which belong to that web. I usually found dat, and there's still the domain address on the pic!

look dear i have read it in the forum since 3 or 4 days as a similar question and the answer was as follow

if u r getting something from addidas or nike website as music or wallpaper
on the site u can read that everything on this site is copyrighted anjd can't be copied or posted on any another site

Wow after reading this thread, i am too now extremely confused, as one of my themes was removed after being there for around 4 weeks, and i have no clear answer as to how zedge determones my theme is inappropriate.....

Yes i copied his wall paper from someone off Ownskin who uploaded it for the sole purpose of being downloaded and used, same thing with the wallpapers i download off zedge and use in themes, but still my theme has been removed from the public...

I know pics can't have copyright on them, trademarks of anykind, creator details, signatures etc... But when my pic doesn't have any of those and still is removed... Kinda makes ya wonder what Zedge calls copyrighted material.

Thanks though for those who have tried to help... I'll just keep uploading as usual in hopes that it doesn't happen again...
