Try with the latest firmware. Update your phone?s firmware with SEUS. With latest firmware it has got less bugs.

Sony Ericsson has instructions for updating firmware on their website. SE phones also have an automatic update function located in the settings (you should have an active internet account to do this).

Update with the phone isn?t working. You need the SEUS software in your PC and update with this. You?ll find the software and full instruction on their webpage or C902 support page.

Had the same problem and calls froze too. I took it back to Vodafone who sent it off to SE. This worked but now the battery charge and reception displays have lost there colour.
My sons one has started doing it too.

Yeah, I've updated the firmware a few times - it just wipes your phone of a lot of things that you will definitely get sick of putting back on there. I think it killed all of my settings and game saves etc.

There doesn't seem to be a lot than can be done to fix this, but it is a bloody annoying problem for sure!

Seems that SE have lost the plot a bit. Even the woman in the Vodafone shop can't wait for her contract to run out so she can change phone. All the people I know who have C902s have the same problem. Since then mine has taken to turning itself off and on again. But as you say it costs a fortune replacing all your games etc. I've had SE's for years but this will be my last.
The update service just says its up to date too.

Yeah, I have to agree. Since the 'new breed' of mobiles with all the new operating systems and firmware pre-installed, SE have definitely gone downhill a little bit! My previous phone was a w850i which was a solid piece of kit for sure! That thing seemed to put up with any kind of abuse heh. The C902, however, is a great phone but is so much more volatile! I mean, I've overlayed for Uni on two occasions now because the damned thing thought it'd be a good idea to just switch off.

I don't think Nokia has much more to offer to be honest though - so it's time to look for an option C - and I know for sure that that's not going to be a silly JCB phone ^_^
