Hey,
My phone is unlocked. I can download the ringtunes to the phone but it still says "Cannot set this file as ringtune".
I was wondering:
a) if there was a way to verify for sure that my phone is unlocked (maybe I did it wrong) or...
b) Do I have to convert to a wav format instead?

If your phone is locked or not, has nothing to do with the ringtones. The most commonly uses file formats in SE phones are .mid .mp3 and .amr
