well this was a concern yet i just directed to a topic. somehow, if you are a normal person, you'll be too very bored to read a totally long topic. anyways, admins and mods should be asking the creator/uploader side before deleting their work. if not, suggest. why? good question. here is a good answer. if you are uploading something,

-you'll go for a unique name so the query in the search results will be lessen.
-you'll also put tags that are something because you think it is good
-some uploaders really do have something in mind. but as time goes by because of a slow server, what's on your mind is blown away that's why you put another name for your theme.
-also the categories are really a mess. how do you know to put this and put that here or there?

please be kind to users. perhaps we zedgers are one. might as well think of getting the creator/uploaders opinion first before creating their work. it so much of a hurt when someone just deleted you work whom you work hard on.

you are also part you what you call "zedge team" you should also do something about it. it should also be your concern.
