And does doing this block anything else on my phone? Will i be like charged or fined for it? Will my warranty on my phone void out or any thing? Wow i feel like an idiot! lol

YES your warranty will be void if you debrand your phone.

so be very decisive in this part.

i suggest you only debrand it if you are going to unlock it.

and if your still in doubt, you should consult your mobile provider

as they will know what to do about your problems and they

can surely suggest you of the best actions you can do...

hey don't feel idiot ok coz your not.

best of luck

Note:

Debranding and Unlocking a phone are two different procedures. When you unlock a phone, it does not mean you have debranded it. Unlocking a phone makes it able to use other networks. On the other hand, debranding them, removes all the "extra" features built in by your network provider (which in some cases is a good thing since you probably dont need those).

And also, your service provider will never help you with "debranding" or "unlocking". You are after all messing with their services. They frown on that. Though you void the warranty of your unit for the after-sales services if you debrand it.

If you are not familiar with the procedures of flashing your phone, its strongly suggested that you take it to a shop that specializes on unlocking and debranding motorola phones. You have to pay a premium though.
