Hello! My sister and I have an LG Shine (CU720) and we have downloaded ringtones reciently. They are around 26 seconds long, and their file sizes are around 400 KB. We are able to play these songs on our phones without a problem, but, we are not able to set these tones as a ringtone. When we try, a message comes up stating:

"File too large to be used as a ringtone"

I looked around this forum to see if anyone had a similiar problem, and I came across a thread where a person had the same problem as myself. There, a person stated shortening the audio length. I tried to do that on my phone, but I don't believe I am able to shorten audio recordings, and if I am able to, I don't know how to do it.

Is there anyway to fix this problem? Thank you so much for your time! <33

Maybe you can try to compress it's bitrate, from 128kbps to 64kbps will trimmed it's filesize. Or maybe convert it to another formats like amr or wav via media-convert.com

if your problem is really due to large size of the file then you have to lower its bit rate sot hat its file size may become less.... hope this helps.. good luck

Thank you! But, how do I lower its bit rate? I sadly cannot connect my cellphone to the computer right now, as all the AT&T stores and other electronic stores I went to does not carry the proper USB cable for my phone. @.@
