does anyone know if you can change message tone on sammy g600 ive sorted ringtone but cant find out how to change message alert

i am sorry to tell you this but i thought i could just help you out....i widely guess....im afraid this phone does not have the feature to change the message tone...only th defaults can be used

My mother has this phone and she also wants to change the message tone. Surely there must be a way.

I have this phone and i heard a whisper u could change it, but when i rang samsung, guess what.... u can't.
Lovely phone but annoyed u can't put ur own tunes 2 ur message's.

There is a way but it involves updating the phones firmware to the latest version. You can either take it to a shop or buy the flashing cable and download the software to do it yourself.

Select G600 from the drop down menu (top left) and download G600XAGJ1 firmware (includes English language) and OneNAND Downloader v1.5 Lite.

You then need the flash cable available here - http://www.fonefunshop.co.uk/datacables/samsung.htm
(£9.99 inc p&p) make sure you buy the FLASH cable and not the data cable
