hi there!

i just had the same problem like yours, and have just recently resolved that question, here's what you can do:

i hope your iphone i already jail broken? - if yes, you should have an installer app on the menu. tap that and then tap on install, tap on all packages and search for sendsong application, install that and after it's done, connect the iphone to itunes, transfer the ringtones you've downloaded to itunes (the ringtones should be in .aac format) under "artists" put in ringtones so you can find them easily and then transfer those to the phone. eject the iphone and run sendsong then scroll to the ring tones and then choose the ringtone.

another application you can use is iRinger. just google it to find the site where you can download the .exe files (if your on windows), the application can be used instantly and it's very straight forward and easy to use - there's still instructions on the website if you're feeling a little lost.

if there's any ambiguity, just message me so i can help you. good luck!

Hey Zashima Thanks!!! I have the new iPhone 3G and the iringer application works on it too. Love the fact that I don't have to jailbrake or anything. I use a PC and installed iringer onto my computer like any application. Openned the program and imported an MP3 into the tool. You can just about use any file and this awesome tool will convert it for you into itunes. It will even show up in your ringtones list in your itunes when it is done converting. It couldn't have gotten easier than that. Here is the website to download iringer.

I synced my phone and tested it out. It works great and the custom ringtone sounds nice and loud. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
