At first sight, i tot the N82's build quality was very good, but when i got it, the keypad fails me...its keypad housing starts to hav squeak sound coming out of it. All of it still maintain the same. Even after i changed 2 brand a new one.

i could empathize with you on that, i really don't know about how nokia is making phones these days, i used to be such a fan of nokia phones because not only they were easy to use, they were also durable. but correct me if im wrong but in the recent years, the build quality of nokia phones - with the few exceptions of the luna, and the series 88's - the over all quality seems to have slipped.

like your n82, i had an n95, barely 4 months since i got it replaced(software issues), the slider felt loose. i think, in keeping with nokia's software development, they had to trim cost to building - ergo cheaper materials than what they used before - so as to keep the cost of the actual unit down.

think about it, the 88-series are really impeccably built but has very limited capabilities and the new 8800 arte with the all the bells and whistles is still very, extremely expensive.

it's nothing personal, it's just business -nokia

May be u r not used to the key pads .I know they are small but after sometime u start typing like hell. And when you buy a housing(cover)better be sure that its 1st quality or buy covers from Nokia care they give ORIGIONAL mobile covers, coslty but you dont get problems and no need to change and waste more money
