Is the Person we take on when logging on to such places like zedge

do we log on as us

or as new person

No mater how you act on the Net you are still you, as a person, you have not changed simply because you are sat infront of your PC. Some people may feel they are more..out going or more intelligent when there online but in fact, they are no diffrent from when they are offline in the majority of cases.

However if you start to explore the idea behind

Escapism

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Escapism

But the story does not end there..

The mental diversion by means of entertainment or recreation, as an "escape" from the perceived unpleasant aspects of daily reality

what do u think

I think everyone is pretty much the same person online as they are in real life. The main difference is that many people feel less inhibited on the net. A shy person is probably less shy on the net. Also guys post things to women that they would never say to a woman's face.

People are different from each other... they may or may not show their true selves, depending on the situation, and who they're dealing with.

But the bottomline is that one way or another, what you exhibit is probably a part of who you really are deep inside.. and it includes those deeply hidden facets of your personality that even you yourself is unaware or unfamiliar with.

Online, I'm only a little different than I am in real life. I'm a bit more outgoing online, and I feel like I can express myself better through writing than I can in real life when I speak. I guess that's why I like the net, because I can type instead of talk :P

Nowadays, everything is explained by psychiatric terminalogies!
"escapism"!

Oh well, who in dis mischevious world is truly itself?
We learn since primary school... to hide or make over uyrself up to be up others expctations!
the parents, the school teacher, the colleagues, the girl we like, the bullyings...

So, why in da hell will people be themselves in the internet?
with no way on finding out who is behinf the keyboard?
(unless it wants to)

Quite pertinent question this one: whi is ur digital self?

So, who do u build up online?
do u construct a profile with waht u wanted to be?
a celebrity?
or maybe as a rebel, son of b*tch?
or as a hot babe(guy, when in fact ur not?

All this is possible as it happens all da time.

So, are people really true in the web?
answer: NEVER.

not even me.

We lie all da time. its human nature.
its like breathing.
(dont tell me otherwise...because dat would be lying! haha)

So, internet, double lying in 4....hundred times.
thats ur digital self.

Ok, u say who u are what u do... but dat does not mean ure not lying.
who can proove it?
nobody, thats da fun of tha thing.

and thats why internet, social networks, forums and chats are so popular.

oh well...

what i think is that depends how person wants to show himself/herself in net.... there are those who pretend to be another people.. just to strengthen theirselves or what... or just to become someone they will never be in real life... but still they are who they are.. and in the end it all pops out...
and about a fun.... there are people who live a real life... but still having more fun through net...
real fun+zedge fun = double fun.... right Jakir??
the problem is that you still need to understand.. what is real and what is not... sometimes it mixes...

For me honesty is the way of life
it doesn't matter whether I am behind a screen or in the middle of a crowd
I see lying as an act of desperation of fear from life
I am me and nothing else why would I lie about it

this saying I got once from angeliclucero
" Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask,
and he will tell you the truth " -oscar wilde

That saying is so perfect for this topic. While many believe that people try to pretend to be something they are not on the internet, I believe their true self comes out. Simply because they feel they are hiding behind anonymity or a mask if you want.

Reversed Psychology.

Yes, it is possible.

But still, its embraced with a lot of imagination, personal wishes and "wanna bes"... and fantasies.

Not to rely, but to analyze carefully.
