I think its

STRIKER

.Because without goals football is meaningless.

They're all important in their own way..
well, the goal keeper keeps the balls out of the goal ;D
the defenders try to defend their goal/goal keeper and keep the other team's strikers away.
the midfielders supply the strikers to score, as shah said

and the strikers score..
so, they're all important!

i dont think striker is the most important position guys!

just how many times has a defender scored, mostly whit headers!

so i think defender... because they can score and defend their own goal.
