There are some aspects about beauty which is, very obvious and common for everyone, generally, but we tend to dig down for more, making each of us having different insights about what beauty really is.

It lies within the purest heart and soul to know the real beauty, plus the fact that, it is only, skin deep.

EDIT: So as to avoid any unnecessary arguments, violent reactions and / or unsolicited comments about what I said, that was just MY opinion personally, no more and no less.

I think that is true....what is beauty to one person may not be so to another. Also you have to take into consideration cultural differences that affect the definition of beauty. Of course there are some people who see beyond the physical appearance and see the "inner beauty" of people where as there are some people who are shallow and only see designer clothes and fancy cars and base their attraction on that (stupid in my opinion)

I so agree look deeper for the inner beauty, I passed on asking a person out many years ago just because some one was cuter. Well the one I passed on turned out to be the better person. Look at the whole picture.

When we judge beauty only with our eyes, we see only the physical beauty. We must open our minds and hearts to see the real beauty which lies beneath. And of course people will have different criteria of what is beautiful to them. Most people would say that a rose is beautiful. Every single thing in life has its own beauty; it’s us who gauge it. Beauty mainly depends upon how he or she sees it. The ugliest thing in someone’s life may be the good looking thing in some other’s life.

Beauty lies in the eye of the beholderthat, I believe. ‘Coz as always, and in almost everything that we do, we measure and look at things on different angles. As we have a various or a whole diversity of cultures, beliefs, etc…

Take ART for example, Picasso’s work might be absurd and ridiculous to some… but might be or rather very beautiful to some to the extent of them appreciating the artworks by willingly shell out millions and millions of dollars for a single piece of work…

The list could go on when it talks about appreciating the beauty of something or someone…

Though, universally, quite a number, if not, the majority of people agree on the same measurement of beauty, and that, of Hollywood’s… at least, to some extent LOL!

That must explain why everywhere they go, whatever they do, it’s like the world is at their disposal… 'coz the world admire them for their beauties first before their talents... if you don't agree, so be it! LOL!

Anyhow, the statement, Beauty is skin deep, could also be true though. ‘Coz some people, might be beautiful on the outside but rotten in character on the inside…

After all... after some time, plus years and years of stress, one's looks could fade... plus, as they say, as we grow older, seems like everything is being pulled down by gravity... ... crazy and absurd... but true enough, eh?

In friendship, beauty won’t and should never, ever be a case… no matter what...

But I believe, that in romance and relationships, some, if not most of us, do measure beauty according to the definition of popular standard.

One humorous email that was sent to me goes like this…

Don't deprive yourself a Mr Gorgeous because of fear of the unknown,

Think about the children, they'll be good looking, minus years of trying to convince them they are "beautiful"

And being called to the school ‘coz he / she roughed some kid who called them "Butt Face” or any other names…

Quite funny and cruel but true to some extent…

But, I guess, whatever our definition of beauty is or however we define it… we should just respect others’ opinions on how they see it as well…

Again, what / who maybe beautiful to you might be ugly to some…

yes i agree..

beauty is not only physical.. for me its on how u look life positively and treat people equally that's beauty for me.. u could have the most pretties face on the planet but if ur attitude towards life and to others is no good, ur way more uglier than a frog..

I totally agree.
I have one toy that I got as (really) little. It's the ugliest toy I've ever seen, but I just adore it. So, even the toy has it's inner beauty.
We all look at the same, but we do not see the same.
