Downloaded a java/symbian app, only to find it in .rar or .zip format and it doesn't work on your phone?

Follow these instructions and you'll be fine.

1. Download 7-Zip.

2. Install this program onto your computer.

3. Open the file (.rar or .zip) and click the big extract button (pictured) and set your desired location and extract.

Alternatively, right-clicking on the zip file should also give you a context menu for extraction there itself.

Your file should now be visible at the point of extraction, transfer over/install to your phone and enjoy.

If you have WinRAR/WinZip already on your PC, skip to step 3

nice one

if no 7 zip condition, just rename the .zip .rar files into .jar
and copy on your phone/card and there you go.

renaming is not the way for decompress. then we ought to use a program for decompress like 7-zip, winrar, winzip, or <Power Archiver> i like this one.

well it worked fine for me... most .jar files recognized by .rar or .zip if you don't have java web starter on your mashine.... so you can just simply change the extension and copy paste
