I tried to change the date and I also tried the application manager and changed the software installation to ALL, however the problem is still occuring and I've been trying since a week. I too have an E65 and encountered the EXACT same problem. I changed the 'software installation' = ALL and 'online certif check' = OFF and I changed the date to 12/11/2006... NOTHING WORKED!!

Then it dawned on me... the certificate date is probably in US format! So, I went back into the DATE/TIME section of my E65, and changed date format = mm dd yyyy

Tried to install my theme again and HEY PRESTO... IT WORKED!

So, when you are changing your phone date to 2006, make sure your phone's DATE FORMAT is in US DATE FORMAT!! (i.e. mm dd yyyy)

When I try to install an application (E. g. theme, game, VPN client) to my Nokia device I get an error message: "Installation security Error. Unable to install" or "Certificate may yet not be valid, is expired or phone's day settings may be incorrect"

If you get such an error message, please set the device date to before 12.6.2007 (or for some applications maybe even earlier), and then this error doesn't appear and installation continues normally. After installation you may set date back to current date.

If this does not help then
TOOLS>APP MGR>OPTIONS>SETTINGS>SOFTWARE INSTALLATION and changed it from SIGNED ONLY to ALL.

Good Luck

Jeremy,

I was about to ask this expired certificate error, how luck am I, just open this forum and found your note.

My BIG thanks for that..
