why do symbian phone hangs?

i have a 6680, and it hangs alot. sometimes i hav to wait and the other time i have to restart it.
anybody know the reason.
and wht bout ur experience

Go and get it changed at the store you got from if not try and get the latest firmware.
Also if you cant get another one try unlocking (make it accept any sim card) it after youve updated the firmware. There are sites that calculate codes for you to type in to unlock anyphone plus its free, safe and legal.

update the software, if you are finding much difficulty. One in 1000 / 10000 handsets, you ll get this problem. its just an electronic device, anything may happen anytime. Try your luck again.

Most probably because of an application or process that runs automatically in the background every time you start your phone. Keep in mind that your phone has very limited resources (heap/stack capacity) for the different applications that are simultaneously running in your phone. It will "hang" if it runs out of resources or if there's a convoluted mess in addressing the memory. Careful on what you put in it.

many phones hangs cause by virus....specially what they called a BB5 phones..just reformat the by pressing *#7370# and the phone will now reformat itself...and dont forget to scan your memory card for viruses.. i hope this can help....

Yup...agreed...Background process is the main cause of the "hangs".Just uninstall some of the unwanted softwares.

yes..what hannibalxx and yman2007 say is correct..and it may be caused by increasing the memory card capacity (for 6680 must not reach 1 gb)

its because of the virus i also had the same problem with my nokia 6680 f u want return ur cp from where u bought it or otherwise buy a new unit. it is also ann electronic problem u can try all the necessary means or alternatives like reformaatting ur phone but it always happen that the hardware is the main problem so i advise u to return it. hope this helps
