Hi, everybody! I've just downloaded default themes from 6680 and I like them very much! Especially the icons! Unfortunately, after installing them on 6600 icons didn't change. What I got is 6680 themes with 6600 icons! Is there a way to fix this? I am sorry if I am asking stupid questions. Please help and thanks in advance!

Well, for N6600... in the Theme Manager.
click the option->Edit theme->icon
So, in the icon text box. Can you select the icon set to use for your N6600? My N6600 can.. but in N7610, this option is not available. Thus, not many Nokia user know about it.. but N6600 users have different theme management version, i think...

Yeah, I know about changing icons in Menu->Themes->Edit->Icons. But there are only 2 options - Default and Default Theme. Both change nothing. Thanks!

How do you actually installing your theme? by copying the themes? or by installing with sis file?!

I am using sis files downloaded from an Internet site. I even didn't know that it's possible just by copying files! Please, explain, how it works.

Here is what I've found for 6680 sis files I use. I open them with UnMakeSIS and receive 2 files - *.mbm and *.skn. I open *.mbm file with MBM Whizard and receive a bunch of *.bmp files. In these files there are no icon graphics. Other themes witch do change icons on my 6600 have icon graphics in their *.mbm file! Witch makes me think that this is the reason why icons don't change.

Lets say I take from somewhere 6680 phone! How can i steal its themes with icons and everything and make them usable on 6600? Witch files should I copy and what should I do with them? What is the file witch contains icons? Thanks a lot!

Just copy the files in phone A, then copy them into your phone B's skin directory. Right? Your phone B will have the theme file information, and you can directly using it!

Sorry, I am not familiar with UnMakeSIS. And why is that you need to unpack the sis file you download? Why not just install the theme sis huh? Sorry if I sound stupid here. I am very easily confussed people here, and that is why I stay away from UnMakeSiS... Even though I heard of it very long time ago. But never have any needs to use it.

Ah, you just mentioned stealing something above here. I do not agree with you that actually we are discussing about how to do stealing discussion. Sometime your friend's phone(symbian phone) does have the theme, then without the installation theme files. Thus, here you may ask for approval from your friend. And make copy from his.

I used UnMakeSIS and MBM Whizard to open the themes and see if there are icons at all. Now I know that there are no icons and that is the reason why they don't change. The question here is, what is the file witch contains the icons in 6680?


Well, English is not my mother language and I don't always express myself correctly. In this case I am still not sure for the right word for what I am doing or trying to do. Also I am not sure that Nokia are going to be happy with it. I guess one of the reasons to buy a new phone are the better looking themes. And in the end, I don't have a friend with Nokia 6680! So if we find the file with the icons probably should beg someone here with 6680 to e-mail it.
