Well if I can add my little bit

Since Jan 07 after seeing the iPhone presentation video I've been dying to get my hands on the iphone it looks really stylish and sleek however before I spend £270 on a phone I like to do my research and I have therefore followed closely the developments in America of the iphone I had thought that apples association with AT&T was just an American thing

However when I read about its imminent release in the UK solely with O2 I was a little concerned. I read of issues with people in America unlocking the iphone and apple then creating updated software which renders unlocked phones useless and the pending law suits made me think twice about the iphone

Now I am not knocking Apple as an owner of a G4 Power 2.2Mhz duel processor, a G5 Powerbook (both using OS X 10.8) and an 80GB G5 Ipod an iphone seemed just like a natural progression

Now I have followed a lot of post on this site concerning the iphone, the N95 and the SE W960i so much so that I have had a demo of the SE W960i and the N95 8GB unfortunately not the iphone as it doesn't preview in the UK till 9/11/2007 (not sure if Apple chose this date for a reason) Now to get a good network deal with O2 you need to spend £45 a month for 18 months = £810 + iPhone @ £269 + total cost of an iPhone £1,079.00.

That for me makes an iPhone an expensive toy. The SE W960i didn't impress me as it was too much like a PDA with the stylus, so much so that I opted for the Nokia N95 8Gb and now having had the phone for a few days I can say I feel I have made the right choice, buts that just my opinion but with the features, applications and the fact that the N95 was FREE and the battery issues seem to have been fixed I’ll give my vote to the N95 8GB

well, for me, the n95 and the w960i are tied (The iPhone's too ostentatious for me) to each other, and since I LOVE SE Phones, I'm getting the w960i.

I still would prefer a larger screen, a better camera, a music player and a SMARTPHONE - NOKIA N95 has it all.
