Apologies moderator if the topic is already on here somewhere (i have looked) but i think i read a guide on how to resolve the problem faced on a nokia "memory full close some applications" error message that annoyingly appears frequently! I know there is a way to stop it but cant find it anywhere in the forum! Any help??

Check ur phone memory first by pressing the menu button, then select options, go to memory details and select phone memory. see how many kb is free.

u will probably have to delete some files in you gallery like sound or video files or transfer themto the memory card.

hope i helped you

let me know

No, that aint gonna work. I have read tutorials on how 2 free up memory without deleting any files. I actually found them, but so far there are only methods foe N6600 and 1 other N fone...so far not 1 for the N7610. Ill keep on the search tho! Thanx anyway dude!

Hi

i have heard that if u press and keep hold of the menu key a list of open applications will appera and you are able to close the ones that you are not using.

Menu key Long pressing for "task manager" - switching between active programs (with "C" key programs can be terminated.)

in other words there are applications running in the background that are using up the memory.

hop this helps u

Also check if you have auto-runs running such as Screensaver and anti-viruses.

Thanx guys! I have read about that long menu key pressing technique boefre and I have started using it...it does seem to make the phone run a bit smoother, but I also found that tutorial I was talking about...it involves using "App Man" and playing with the memory that way. Gonna give that a go as well me thinks!!

I suggest you not to play with it too much... keep watch of whatever you do with it... you might just destroy your fone...
