What I meant is, Rafa should get players as young as Fabregas who can deliver and shine for the club. Is 25 considered young? Gerrard is 28 this year, and the most, he can be on the pitch for another 5 or 7 years.

I can't deny the fact that defence is vital in a game. I feel that the manager needs to scout for quality defenders, just in case Carragher intends to have early retirement or Riise wants a move.

Well u r right lets hope rafa bring some young players in the game

John Arne Riise's agent insists the left-back will not be leaving Liverpool to join Newcastle. (Various)

Yeoh man... regardless of how much the agent insists, it's the final decision that fans want to hear.
All you know, Riise might jump to Newcastle next season.

Juventus are set to complete the signing of Mohamed Sissoko from Liverpool - but will not let Spurs target Tiago leave during the transfer window. (Gazzetta dello Sport, 0842)

I don't mind Sissoko's to-be departure. I have to put trust on Rafa to get more capable midfielders.

West Ham v Liverpool

Facts

Having established a solid mid-table platform with one loss in six Premier League matches, West Ham take on draw specialists Liverpool.

The Merseysiders play their first Premier League match of the season in London, and take to the field for the first time since trailing Havant & Waterlooville twice in the FA Cup, before winning their home fourth round tie 5-2.

Rafa Benitez' side may be unbeaten in six league outings, but the last four have ended all-square and left them scrapping for a top four Champions League berth.

West Ham have lost three against the "Big Four" so far this season, and won one (against Manchester United).

Liverpool are unbeaten in 10 top-flight contests with West Ham, winning the last six.

Read "Quotes of the week" at http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/funny_old_game/7213292.stm. Quite interesting...

And, I particularly like this
"Benitez isnt so much a dead man walking as he is a wounded man bleeding."
Setanta Sports commentator following the Liverpool-Villa game. (Arvin Lingeswaran, England).

Well, I agree that Liverpool FC have not been doing well ever since they last lifted Champions League trophy in 2005.
What goes wrong actually???

I think you're right. @shankar8478

Liverpool fans are getting sick of their incompetent form and performance. I didn't expect a defeat for the match (West Ham v Liverpool) though it's obviously an away game.

The worst I expected was a scoreless draw, knowing that the Reds don't normally do well in away matches. It's indeed a let-down.

When are Liverpool gonna lift the league trophy??
Well, just tell me when was the last time they emerged champion in the EPL. Guess it's long enough...
