The second major victories of Liverpool for this year but it comes from a non league match. We have to expect something like that for the League matches now. I mean bring the players to track and we start with the winning habbit again. Specially when you have the match against Chelsea and Inter Milan schedule for 10 and 19 Feb respectively.

While the next match is against Wesh Ham an away match. Recall that this season Liverpool home match against west ham was postponed for 5 march.

Wow... I was excited over the 5-2 win. Thanks to Benayoun's hat-trick.

Well, I've never heard of Havant and Waterlooville before. It's a huge shame if Liverpool lose to such unknown opponent at home.

Just imagine if the Reds didn't win the match, it'd be high time for Benitez to "kiss goodbye."

Celtic make enquiry for Liverpool's Hyypia

Scottish champions Celtic have made an enquiry for Liverpool defender Sami Hyypia, who has yet to be offered a new deal at Anfield.

The 34-year-old Finland international has become frustrated by Liverpool's delay in talking about a new deal, despite making his 27th appearance of the season yesterday.

Hyypia is out of contract in the summer and, although he would like to stay next season to celebrate 10 years at Anfield, he will now consider other offers.

I respect Argentine players they are very good in football. Tevez and Masch are the 1 i witness playing great football in the World Cup.

Hope this new one come to anfield and help in the play.

I dont think rafa will let hi go because we need players in the defense. Skrtel is not well established. Yesterday even av an own goal so rafa should act wisely

Hey... don't overlook the points that Hyppia is also an OG "expert" for he's also conceded a lot of own goals.

And, Hyppia is ageing. He used to be a very promising defender but now... I wonder how much he can do.

Perhaps, Benitez should emulate Wenger, get more young Reds.

I do agree that Hypia has been an OG expert too but he is in form for the time being and playing a very good football. By keeping him in the squad this may help in the development of the new players as he may share his experience. Also by having some defenders in yours squad u find that there will be a fight for themselves and they will play good football without commiting worthless mistakes.

Finally i will want to add take a piece of paper and write all the name of the new players that rafa has recently brought in the squad u will find that almost all are less than 25.

What I meant is, Rafa should get players as young as Fabregas who can deliver and shine for the club. Is 25 considered young? Gerrard is 28 this year, and the most, he can be on the pitch for another 5 or 7 years.

I can't deny the fact that defence is vital in a game. I feel that the manager needs to scout for quality defenders, just in case Carragher intends to have early retirement or Riise wants a move.
