Real Madrid are no match for Barca in La Liga, Liverpool are going to destroy Madrid, just wait.

i agree wif u ...

excuse me

Liverpool thread, so I'm not goin to be subtle about the fact that Madrid are doomed, they spent 40 million on Diarra and Huntelaar, and didn't even know they could only register 1 for the Champion's League

La Liga is the 4th best league in the world.

1- Premier League
2- Seria A
3- Argentinian League
4- La Liga

(Just so you know, these are official rankings, not my opinions )

Champion's League is a lot more prestigious than La Liga Always will be.

FIFA work on a ponts system, that's why Englan, Italy and Spain, all get 4 entrys into the Champion's League. Based on how the teams do, I'm not sure how it works, but Argentina got ranked above La Liga.

The Champion's League, throws all the best teams in Europe together, and sees who's the best in all Europe. UEFA have tried to mix it up by adding stipulations so smaller teams (Athens, Anorthosis etc.) can enter, which does detract from it.

Liverpool hold the EPL in higher esteem this year because we haven't won the title in 19 years, but you have to admit, if Barca won La Liga and Madrid won the Champ's League, every Madrid fan would be saying "you may be the best in Spain, but we're the best in Europe"

Not that Madrid will win I can just see the tie being very one-sided in Liverpool's favour.

Anyone read Benitez' commens yesterday

Absolute brilliance, the thing that compares the Benitez and Ferguson, is that Ferguson loses his temper, Benitez is calm and calculated, and tells "facts"

Couple of quotes in there that will be added tothe list of great quotes

And Poll, has backed Rafa today, so all's good.

Gooner, this has got nothing to do with what Ferguson has won, neither has it got anything to do with his comments about Liverpool, it's about Ferguson whinging when he doesn't get his own way, and about it's one rule for him, and one for everyone else.

You can respect Ferguson all you like for what he's one, but that's no excuse to criticise the FA, and all the referees, any player or any manager he feels like having a dig at. Why the hell should Benitez take what Ferguson says with a pinch of salt? So it's ok for Ferguson, but not for Rafa? All Rafa was doing was basically saying "not everyone is going to bend over and let Ferguson do as he pleases"

Rafa has won more in his first 4 years at Liverpool, than Ferguson did at Manc U. Ferguson has been at Manchester for over 20 years and for some reason, it's his divine right to get away with anything he likes.

Benitez said, what everyone thinks, that Ferguson is a bully boy, yet for some reason, no-one will stand up and say anything, not even the FA 9 times out of 10. For Ferguson to finally get some form of punishment, he had to march on to the field, go after the referee and confront him with abuse.

You've basically said, Ferguson can mouth off about Liverpool all he likes, but Benitez can't. So great, you think, "hey it's Ferguson, let's just bend over" It's funny, your comment, is exactly why Ferguson goes unpunished, your view is, because he's had success, and won trophies, he can do as he likes. Great.
